Attention Homes Apartments at 1440 Pine St. became very real in January of 2018 as fencing went up at the site and construction began. In the first phase of construction, the historic home on the site was picked up and moved with no incident in order to begin digging for the underground parking garage.
This spring, the West half of the parking garage was completed and the historic home will be moved back to where it will permanently stay, about 15 feet from its original location, later this month.
It’s a challenging endeavor to move a historic home, and has been a time intensive phase of the construction process. In the next month or so, vertical construction will begin, so stop by the corner of 15th and Pine this summer to see this incredible, and much needed project, taking shape!
