Dr. G. Thomas Manzione is a licensed and certified clinician with 30 years of experience as both a psychotherapist and chief administrator for various mental health organizations. His experience includes treating adolescents, adults and families challenged by a variety of psycho-social and mental health issues. Dr. Manzione’s particular areas of expertise are in the treatment of both adolescents and adults who are dealing with substance dependency and those with co-occurring disorders. He is known for his work with forensic clients and for his ability to assist those in crisis. Dr. Manzione participated in conducting research into Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and helped to identify best practices for trauma treatment. He employs an eclectic approach to therapy that includes both conventional and recognized alternative therapeutic techniques.
Dr. Manzione is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Alcohol Counselor III. Additionally, he is a Board Certified Professional Counselor by the American Psychotherapy Association and a National Certified Alcohol Counselor II by the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors. Dr. Manzione is recognized as an equine mental health professional and is certified by PATH International as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL). He was an adjunct faculty member at both Chapman University and the University of Alaska, Kodiak campus and currently instructs at a local law enforcement training academy.
