Bequests & Planned Giving
People choose to leave a bequest to a nonprofit organization in their will in order to leave a legacy that lasts beyond their lifespan. This type of giving ensures that the organization’s valued programming will survive for generations to come.
More than 80 percent of Americans contribute to the nonprofit groups of their choice throughout their lifetimes. But according to research conducted in 2000, only around eight percent of people chose to continue this support through a charitable bequest.
While often overlooked or not planned ahead of time, planned giving can be one of the most rewarding types of giving. We invite you to consider Attention Homes in your future planning and help our work continue to benefit our community for another 50 years.
Planned gifts can be given in multiple ways:
List Attention Homes in your estate planning documents. You can designate a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, the remainder of your estate after all other bequests have been honored or for Attention Homes to receive a specified asset.
- Life Insurance or Retirement Plan
List Attention Homes as the beneficiary of an insurance policy, retirement plan or annuity.
- Other Planned Gifts
Consider making a gift of real estate, business interests or other assets to Attention Homes.
There are tax benefits related to many of these options. Please contact Brittny Wilson, Deputy Director, at 303-447-1206 ext. 8 or firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more about and to help choose which option is best for you.
